Aliens Love Ice Cream is a cooperative board game that immerses players in a whimsical space adventure. Players work together to deliver unique ice cream combinations to hungry alien customers scattered across the universe. As the game progresses, challenges arise, forcing players to collaborate and adapt. As the team's ice cream collection diminishes players will be required to trade with each other to successfully fulfill orders. With unforeseen obstacles like a rival business stealing orders, a dessert rush, and extremely impatient customers, the game will put to the test whether the group's collaborative skills are strong enough to reach 1000 customer service points.
The design of Aliens Love Ice Cream revolves around creating a collaborative space both within the game and beyond. Game designers Dr. Jason Cox from the University of Toledo and Colin Amos played pivotal roles in shaping the game's concept. Their vision was refined through feedback from game testing groups, including friends, classmates, and members of BGSU's Role Playing Game Club. This iterative process helped ensure the game's mechanics were both engaging and centered on teamwork.
